March Update!!

Hello friends and supporters!

One of the most encouraging aspects of the Collin ministry this year has been the shear number of new people visiting and becoming a part of out community. A mix between our great interns doing outreach on campus and our students being open and inviting to their peers has had a great impact on the Collin College campus. So many one on one studies are happening with such a wide array of students. We have people studying the Bible for the first time in their lives. Our students are teaching the Word to people and are inviting people into the kingdom!

Thursday Night Focus has also been going very well. We've had some freshman leading worship for us this year and it's been really neat to see the two of them starting to grow into that position. That has been the case in a number of other areas as well. To give you an idea of the heart of our ministry I'd like to share an example with you. Last week we sent around a sign up for what we were calling "service team". This team was being put together to prep for Focus every week (pick up trash, move tables, stack chairs, etc.). Whereas I expected around 4-8 people to sign up we actually had closer to 25! It was so encouraging to see the serving heart of our students and how they eagerly desire to do work even where there is very little credit or accolade.

Our parent night is also coming up soon. On April 9th at 7:30pm in the Collin College conference rooms we will be meeting parents and having a normal Focus meeting. I tell you the time because YOU ARE INVITED! It's a Wednesday night and should go till about 9pm. We'd love to see you there! We're also having students from Western Washington University come to the Dallas area for their annual spring break service trip. It's an exciting time that gives our students the chance to meet people from across the country who are just as excited as they are about serving God and others.

Finally, I'd like to just ask that you be praying for the following things:

Our existing and prospective student leaders
Our parent night
The team from Western coming during their spring break
Our staff team, especially for the changes being made over the summer
Our campus, that God would continue to see fit to use us as ambassadors for him!

Thank you so very much for your time, your prayers, and all the various other forms of support you give to us. I am praying for you and so very thankful for you!

Yours on the campus,
Garrett
